Axel Ramponi is a talented and passionate French marathon runner. With a personal best of 2:27 hours, he is one of the fastest runners in France. In particular, he shone on sausage races in Lorraine. (as evidenced by his recent articles in Le Républicain Lorrain) and international, building a reputation as a seasoned runner.
But Axel doesn't just run fast, he also seeks to innovate and take on unique challenges. Her next objective? Run a marathon in a suit and beat the world record currently set at 2:40:50, held by Emmanuel Bonnier.
Running a marathon is already demanding, but doing it in a three-piece suit adds an extra level of difficulty. Heat, humidity management and restricted movement are all obstacles that Axel Ramponi will have to face. However, he is not impressed and trains specifically to adapt to these constraints.
This original challenge attracts the attention of the general public and the media, making its achievement even more spectacular.
He must also maintain his position as a representative of French elegance alongside the Kenyan runners present at his side on the starting line of the SAS Elite. That promises!
Beyond sporting performance, Axel also wants to give meaning to his challenge. He supports the association Heart Surgery Sponsorship, which allows children suffering from heart defects to access the necessary care.
By tackling this record, he hopes to raise funds and raise awareness for this essential cause.
Axel will try to beat this record on the occasion of Paris Marathon which will be held on Sunday 13 April next. An ideal race at home surrounded by family, with a start and finish in the 16th arrondissement, to get a time under 2 hours 40 minutes.
If Axel Ramponi succeeds in his bet, he will make marathon history with a Guinness record unique. It will prove that we can combine performance and originality, while defending a noble cause.
